The addiction and mental health services in Huron Perth have a long history of working together to provide good client care, to those with mental health and/or addiction concerns, so formalizing this history of partnership, was the next logical step.  Although we have a legal agreement, each organization continues to operate under its own identity, but operates under the umbrella of the Alliance.  By doing this, we have established an environment of increased accountability to each other, our clients and the community. The objectives of the Alliance are to:

•    Provide easier access to mental health and addiction services in Huron Perth
•    To ensure optimal use of resources
•    Create stronger working relationships to improve client experience

The creation of the Huron Perth Addiction and Mental Health Alliance allows the organizations to develop consistent practices, processes and policies in support of an integrated service system. We ensure resources are where the client needs them the most, and that our services are responsive to the community.

Services provided by the member organizations include:
•    Alcohol, drugs and gambling
•    Assistance with medication management
•    Counselling and treatment
•    Court support
•    Crisis support/mobile response
•    Eating disorders
•    Education
•    Employment
•    Housing
•    Inpatient treatment
•    Peer support
•    Psychiatric consultation
•    Seniors’ mental health and addiction
•    Sexual abuse treatment program

Most services are available throughout Huron and Perth Counties, including in home treatment in many cases.

If you are in need of the services offered from any of the organizations, please call the Huron Perth Helpline and Crisis Support Team at 1-888-829-7484. 24 hours per day, 7 days a week.
